The next Famitsu has pics showing a new 2 on 2 arcade fighter called Tatsunoko vs Capcom - Cross Generation of Heroes. Release date is Winter 2008. Tatsunoko is the anime company behind such properties as Speed Racer, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman (a.k.a. Battle of the Planets a.k.a. G-Force), Tekkaman, and a bunch of others. There are currently a couple blurry scans on the net which show Chun-li, Ken from Gatchaman, Ryu, and I think Casshan Robot Hunter. I'd post the links but I'm not sure if that's allowed here, so you're going to have to find it yourself.
Man. I'm wondering whether this is even more left field than DC vs. MK. I really don't know what to think. I'm thinking "awesome", but it's really soooo weird. I'm as big a Gatchaman fan as the next fanboy, but I wasn't really clamouring for a Gatchaman figthing game, far less a crossover with Capcom. :/ I also question the timing of this: Why is this being announced now? Did someone think "Nah, there's not enough fighting game news lately"? What is this, the 15th fighter announced in the last 6 months? Oh well. Judging by their list of works, they've got plenty of good stuff for a fighter (Holy CRAP MOSPEDA! No way that will ever make it across here though). |

Was wondering why it wasn't posted in the VS section but yeah.....really awesome news to hear.
As for the crossover itself, I don't really care about it much since it's happening everywhere nowadays(SCIV, MKvsDC) but Capcom started it all and I'm glad to hear them come back with another VS game. It's just been wayyy too long(CVS2....2001) to not be excited for this....seriously. |

I think it looks nice and the models has a Shinkiro vibe from it imo. Hope they have alot of characters....not as much as MVC2 though since this isn't a sequel....yet.

A while back the director of power stone series said that fans of the game should expect a treat in the near future...I wonder if this game will feature one of my beloved characters!
