hey guys,

first post, but ive been reading for months.. most of you will have pwned me at some point on the beta.. my id is "thesharkfactor".. or maybe i pwned you?

anyway.. im one of the liucky ones who has both a ps3 and a 360 to feed..

i have deiced to buy the ps3 version (first lol!), my descison was based on the following.. perhaps it can help you decide too..

1)..  i have been using the ps3 and 360 contorllers to play superturbo on mame, and i can safley say that the ps3 d-pad is far superior to the 360.. im more consisitent with it. i have both a modified 360 controller (d-pad mod) and a normal one, and a modded hori fighting stick (with sanwa gate).. so im making a educated descision, opting for the ps3 wireless controller as the best control method i have availabe to me.

2).. FREE online play with PSN.. i would have to buy points (for the game) and membership to play online, brings the cost to double the price of the ps3 game (for me).

3).. it comes out earlier on PSN..and i cant wait..

4).. the ps3 just seems to have the edge over the 360 with its graphincs/sharpness on my big 1080p screen.. the ps3 looks sharper and more defined than the 360..

the only thing im missing out on is 360 acheivements.. and a dodgy control method.. i will undoubtly get the 360 version at a later date to ply my pals on live.. but for now (tonight)...its PSN all the way...

There is only one answer. Get them both.

There are a few things to considered here.

The xbox has been around for a year or two longer than the ps3. I would believe they will have a larger user base with more varieties of players to choose from.  Also, don't forgot every person on the xbox had to pay to get online, so I would say there are more hardcore gamers and more challenging to get up in the rankings.

Since the PSN network is free, there should be more casual players and with a lesser user base would be easier to move up the rankings.

HD remix uses the original codes from 15 years ago, so both platforms have more than enough computing power to handle the graphics.

In terms of technology, I think Microsoft has a more mature and established servers to handle all the gaming. I won't be surprise it would have lag less in the xbox.

Just my two cent. :)

you make valid points.

when i was talking about graphics, i now they will be identical, but what i mean is, the ps3 looks better on my tv, no matter what game. i use a 46" sharp LC46XD1E full 1080p.. both consoles hook through HDMI.. the ps3 is sharper than the 360..  im splitting hairs here..

no matter.. i'll get both.. lol!

If you get the PS3 you wont have to worry about the RROD.  PS3 all the way.

The 360 version actually works and actually has people online.

This is a no-brainer.
