It makes no sense to limit this game's appeal by releasing it only on the Wii.

Capcom is neglecting its main demographic by putting this game out only on the Wii. While Nintendo fanboys will argue this point with me, the Wii just does not have the core audience for this kind of game in America. It is a 2D style fighting game and the Wii just doesn't have the hardcore crowd covered. It doesn't support online gameplay, it doesn't have have a good control scheme (the Hori stick isn't being made anymore), and the system is geared toward kids and parents. If only Capcom would put the game on the other systems too at least the game would reach the hardcore fighting crowd. This move just doens't make much sense. It seems like a great game but I don't see it reaching its potential success by being an exclusive on the Wii.

First off, I want to thank Capcom for this. You guys are the fan's gaming company.

Now then.

This hardcore/casual debate seriously needs to end. Aren't we all gamers?

Second, neglecting main demographic?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HA.

I see a double standard from some of the PS3/360 base on this game.

Aren't you people satisfied enough as it is? You get SF4, MVC2, Bionic Commando etc and as soon as the Wii gets something, you cry like babies and say I want that too. You guys are not getting it because its built on Wii hardware and to porting it to new systems would cost Capcom a bundle.

Not all but some PS3 and 360 owners are spolied brats geez. Let the Wii have this one for once.

I know something you can have. You guys get...

I have a wii aswell.  Don't care if it is released on other consoles...(always good to have 2 current gen systems so you don't miss much! )

Its awesome that they were able to bring it stateside.....but I dont own a Wii so Capcom wont be getting my money. Its a shame cause I wanted to give them my money for this game.  There is only a select few of games that I would want on the Wii so its not really worth spending $250 for a console to own them. But I hope this game has tremendous success here. I know it would for sure if it was multi-platform.

I also was begging Capcom to port this to the PS3/360 a while ago. But I did it because at the time the game was only released in Japan and playing a Japanesse game on a foreign wii was near impossible. (PS3 and many 360 games are region free) Now that the game is coming to the U.S. and Europe I prefer that it stays only on the Wii. Each console has to have some exclusive games you know...

The Wii does have exclusives.....You wont see Smash Bros coming on 360/PS3.....and you wont see me complain about it either but for TvC not on 360 makes me sad.   I could care less if the Wii got SF4...I hope they do if its something Wii owners actually care about.

I see it as a wise move to bring it to the wii. Especially for the american market.

I don't think japan ever intended to bring this game to america when it first launched. The fact that its coming here at all is quite shocking, but a nice surprise.

again as someone posted already, it is a VS game, but its a untested property ( who really knows or cares who tatsunoko is compared to marvel? ).

Now, selling it on the wii. The fact that its in 3d and not 2d, probably made it easier to make. Wii hardware is simple compared to next gen systems.

Doesn't hurt that there are 2 to 3 times more wii's than xbox360 and ps3's combined.

If it doesn't become a huge giant success, at least random wii owners will pick this game up along with the fans who love these kind of VS. games, to make up for it. Since the wii has such high numbers, the chance of it selling well is much more higher.

We are not talking about the numbers of wii sold in the us,we are talking about the audience. The audience is the principal problem.

But i say even if the audience may not be interested in the game,i say it a wise move to let this game be exclusive to the wii.It give the fans of sf and vs games that have a wii to be able to experience a great fighter, plus it well suited for the wii since the vs series always have been simpler to take in hands than the sf games,so it another reason.

It doesn't make sense to release it only for the Wii. Most Capcom fighter fans probably just bought SF IV for the 360 or PS3 (not to mention everyone's excitement about MvC 2). Why wouldn't they give these fans Tatsunoko vs. Capcom as well???
