I can't say that I know a whole lot about the Tatsunoko Characters...but I would definetly love to see characters like Dante,Pyron, or Shoma represent for the Capcom Universe!

It's going on right now!

Also, I noticed the logo of the game/anime that the character came from is back when the large profile of the character is shown!

Just got back not too long ago and there's loads of stuff I will talk about. I'll split them up in sections and subsections.

EVENT

It was awesome, though it started off sort of weird because they had the old version out first and then soon after(around 10-15min) they installed the latest build in the consoles. It was great, pizza, soda, and some consoles lined up for people to play, 4 of them to be exact. They also had a bunch of huge TvC posters covering up the room and some posted outside the room.

As the night went on, I started getting the hang of the game's mechanics(first time I ever played the game) and Mr. Justin Wong decides he wants to play me. I'm thinking "oh ok I'll lose but whatever", and then Seth Killian pops up outta nowhere and says "Oh, we'll start a tournament/competition to see who can beat Justin to get the brand new arcade stick", thanks Seth Killian! To no one's suprise, I lose, but did not go away empty handed. Everyone who didn't win got one of those awesome TvC towels. And if you were wondering, no one beat Justin. By the 15th or so person Justin was asked to do an interview and I guess they just sort of gave up on trying to beat him so everyone just went back to playing.

The night went on, lots of close games, fun to be had, towels to win(lose), interviews to be had with tournament players as well as with Seth (which at one point I recall him saying Mickey Mouse versus Roll or something like that, I'm assuming he was asked about a possible MvC3), and lulz to be had all over the place. It was fun, though time passed before you knew it and it was time to go. At the very least, I didn't go home empty handed and I even got some news/info to boot.

NEWS

--The select screen looks pretty much the same, only with more characters and a bit squished down. (I totally forgot whether the new portait artwork was used as a replacement for the old ones or not. Dunno why but for the life of me I can't remember if it was the new one or not)
--More characters (the odd thing is, before anyone said anything after they installed the new build, the person setting it up said that "There's all the new characters and there's some secret characters we haven't revealed yet"
--More mini-games (I asked the person who blurted out that there was going to be new characters if there was a lot more new mini-games and he said yes"

I was skeptical but then I asked Seth

Me: So could you tell us who the new characters are?
Seth: That's still a secret and you won't be finding out until a few weeks
Me: Oh, ok so what about the new mini-games?
Seth: I'm afraid you'll have to wait for that just like the characters. The news will be announced soon, though by then the game will be out. *laughs*

Well played Mr. Seth.

--SRK rumors about gameplay changes are 90% true (According to the conversation I overheard from Seth and Justin Wong while watching some people play, I heard Seth telling Wong that most of what they said were true, 90% to be exact. I'm not totally sure what the 10% incorrect information is nor am I sure what is true.)

(Arcade Stick info)
-The arcade sticks will be priced around $50-60. (Not a bad price concidering the SFIV SE sticks were $80...)
-They're wireless due to some kind of Nintendo restriction. (Prettly lame if you asked me but they worked really well)
-They'll be two shipments, one with the game's release and one 2 weeks after.
-The arcade stick has a bit of a curve downward towards the buttom, so it feels a lot more natural than the completely flat surface, so that your palm feels at ease a whole more more than the SFIV SE and TE sticks.
-The sides and bottom is glossy but the material on top is the more bumpy/plastic feel, I think it's called matte, I don't remember what it's called. It's the same type of material that the first gen PSP's had on the back or the cover that the Slim PS3's. So scratches won't be so obvious on the top, and it feels better(though that's just my opinion).

-Other questions I asked Seth

Me: Will there be a launch party as SFIV and RE5 got?
Seth: Unfortunately I don't think we'll be able to do one on the scale of those two games and we don't have the budget to do so.
Me: Oh ok, so what about the online and the online modes? What will it be like? Will it be anything like HDR or SFIV?
Seth: I can't tell you specifics but it'll be the best online experience on the Wii. There's certain limitations on the Wii that would make it really difficult to have the exact same experience but expect online to be great and one of, if not the best. (I'm assuming he's saying in comparison to any other fighter with online for the Wii)

I asked if there was any info that Seth can spill about sSFIV as well, but he wouldn't budge. =(
The only info I can get out of him about SSFIV was that the LA Fight Club will have a playable build with Guy and Cody, and that they're trying to get one in San Francisco too. After that it was pretty much the end of the night and we were kindly getting booted by the Capcom attack dogs.

RANDOM NOTES

-Seth is a far better ninja than I was. (He would pop out every now and then to give people pointers. He also caught me and a few others trying to sneak in one last game before the night ended, though I swear he was out of the room after he told everyone it was the last game, but 2 seconds later when the match started he was right behind us saying he's not pleased with us trying to pull a fast one on him. Sorry about that Capcom staff, I just really wanted to play. >_>; )
-Seth is pretty darn good in TvC (I recorded the only game he played that night, and he did not disappoint.)

<--video of Seth pwning.
-Do NOT try to play this game with a Wiimote. When I first attempted to play the game, the fight stick wouldn't respond so I had to play with the Wiimote. It was darn near impossible to play.
-People who I saw that I can recall or remember their names
Players:
Justin Wong
Ricky Ortiz
John Choi (though I didn't see him play a single game)
Bucktooth
Philipino champ

Capcom Employees:
Seth
Snow
Sven (I saw him come in near the end)

There were a bunch more, but none of them I recognized all too well. Nice people. I know I haven't always agreed with the decisions Capcom have made business wise but they're all really nice people.

PERSONAL NOTE

-This was the first time I ever played the game. I've seen videos and read news about it but it was somewhat not what I had expected in a good and bad way. Good in that it was fun enough to convince me to buy this game day one since I was on the fence about getting it or not. Bad as in I thought it would be a bit faster like MvC2. Still, great game.
-The Capcom HQ building is sooooo not what you think it would look like. I came there expecting a huge Capcom logo in front of the building but it looked like one of those super typical office building.
-Capcom had the weirdest type of door to the bathroom. Why do I even bother mentioning it? Because once you go in, you're locked in the hall that leads to the bathroom. So basically if you want to get out of there you'd have to run around the Capcom building like a chicken with it's head cut off or you'd have to knock on the door constantly in hopes that someone hears you through the loud music of the game and people chattering. It was by far my weirdest experience trying to get out of room, and mind you there was no alcoholic beverages.
<---This is the bloody door that would lock you in.
-I was hoping for a grand tour of some sort, but nothing.
-Wish I could work at Capcom.

That's a wrap, videos and pictures to come after I finish converting and uploading them.

Cool beans... Thanks for the info and coverage... And just so you know, they were using the old artworks 'cuz Chun-li's hand still covers the face of her partner behind her...

And now I'm very intrigued of the super-duper secret characters... I'm willing to bet it's Ai-Chan and Dante (just to put those fans to rest)....
