Eh eh... I remember asking this question a while ago: "What is there 'Sprite' Mirroring in TvC and SF4 ?". I suppose that if a character would have to keep a special feature on a specific side, the developpers would have to remove the mirroring effects.
It's not just in TvC & SFIV, it's every 2D fighter period.
The thing is that both TvC and SF4 use 3D models instead of 2D sprites, they could have easily made the characters turn around 180 degrees instead of mirroring them. Ok, some characters would have a weird pose while turned around... but with 3D models, that's what players would expect. Super Smash Bros is a 2.5 [party] fighting game, but all characters face or turn their backs from the camera. So why not TvC ?
Anyway, they could have one or two characters turn around instead or mirroring them. Since they wouldn't have to remodel the characters, I don't think it would be problematic.

I've made this arguement before. They either didnt listen or didnt care.
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Luuuuuuuuv yooooouuuuu aaaallllllll! except you...you know who you are!
i agree on your point Richard but then they shoold have a bigger roster, for TVC2 atleast 60 characters
60 CHARACTERS?! Maybe there should be 36-40 characters for the sequel, but 60!
I agree with this. 35-40 characters will be the way to go in case with get a TvC2. But, I have the feeling that if this game it made, maybe Capcom would make it with 35 characters for balance issue and license issue. We all want The SoulTaker, Shurato and Samurai Pizza Cats on this one, and I think Capcom can handle 3 to 4 new license at max.
But I'm getting way ahead of time. I'm sure TvC would be a success and them we can dream about an awesome sequel, but lets focus on the first TvC and lets make possible the sequel helping Capcom with the promotion of the game. Getting our friends hype up is a really good publicity hehe
whaaaaaaaaaat are you people insane, as many characters as possible and personally i didnt have a problem with mvc2's balance issues what i did have a problem with is the stupid roster, and as far as tatsunoko not having enough characters for 60 character roster...i very disagree, they have so many of so many varieties please look into it ,it should be like ''hey lets have 10 giants 5 on each side,10 long range characters etc etc
the problem nowadays with fighters is to keep the interest of people who dont play online,a big character roster allows longevity...MVC2 need i say more(even without online mode)
I wouldn't mind seeing more characters in a sequel but aside from Speed Racer, Samurai Pizza Cats, Hakushon Daimao, and Ryu and Jinpei from Gatchaman I can't think of anyone else they could put in.
Aside from your list, SoulTaker is the only one I'd like to see. One of the few Tatsunoko properties I'm familiar with and actually watched.
"As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no 'I' in team, but there is an 'I' in pie. And there's an 'I' in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about."

Because MvC2 has viable characters outside the Four Gods and the S/A tier.
