Today when I tried to load my save file I got an error message telling me it failed to load my save file. I did some online searching and apparently there have been a lot of people this has happened too. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Thank you

Alright same thing happened to me also was playing resident evil since the release every day. Then today tried to go on and said Failed to load save data. I tried removing my HD loading the Xbox shut it down then put it back in, and also deleted my profile and recovered gamertag and still didnt work. I already beat the game and was halfway through on veteran and have 500+ gamerpoints and unlimited ammo on alot of my guns. I do not want to start over but i still want to play this game so if there is a solution let me know.

Thank you Yuffie and to everyone else who brought this to our attention. I have already informed the the development team about the problem. They will try and reproduce the problem and come up with a solution. Any details you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for helping guys. As for additional info I don't have much. I just started up the game and got the error message while it tried to load my game file. I've been playing only offline at the time it happen. I've been reading other forums and for what I can gather from the other people this has happened to it just seems to happen at random.

I had to delete the game file to start anew but I copied the failed save to my memory card (I try it once in a while but not luck). So far the new save is fine.

Thanks again

This may be of some help to you. I was playing last night until I got to a checkpoint. I wasnt thinking and just turned off my xbox while it was auto saving. Could this be the problem??

I am so pissed right now. I had just defeated Wesker and purchased and upgraded all my weapons to go through on Veteran. When I turned on my machine again last night and load the game, I got the same error. PLEASE don't tell me I have to delete the save file and restart. PLEASE tell me that you will take this bug seriously and fix it ASAP.

I was redirected to this thread and was informed that the development team knows about it. Hopefully that means they will actually do something about it , not just issue an apology. I already traded my copy for a brand new one at EB games, and it still didn't work. I hope they fix this while I still care about re5. Way to kill the momentum campcom.

My game got corrupted at stage 5-2.

I have an Xbox 360 Arcade, purchased in January of this year. It has a HDMI port so is not an old model.

I've never switched the console off while the game was saving, I always quit to the title screen and then quit to the dashboard before I shut the console down.

I haven't had any problems regarding the game freezing, just the corrupted save file.

No other game has had this problem, just Resident Evil 5.

The game was installed to the Hard Drive.

Hope that helps Capcom, good luck fixing the problem!
