Well, I solved my PS3 RE5 problem. I returned the game and got a refund. I also told the manager that there is a high risk that the games he has a defective and advised him on shipping them back to Capcom. |

AHA THE SAME *****ING THING HAPPEND TO ME! I COMPLETED THE GAME ON PROFFESIONAL AND THEN FULLY UPGRADED MY WEAPONS (ALL OF THEM) THEN TO EARN MONEY I KEPT DOING THE CHAPTER 5.2 OVER AND OVER TO GET THE LION HEARTS. THEN THE NEXT DAY I GET THE LOADING CORRUPTED!!!!!!! I NEARLY KILLED MYSELF AS I SPENT MOST OF MY WEEK PLAYING RESI 5 AND SPENDING £50. THIS PROBLEM OR BUG OR VIRUS OR PIECE OF CRUD NEEDS TO BE FIXED VIA AN XBOX LIVE FIX RATHER THAN MAKING A NEW GAME FOR IT (AS IN ONLY FIXING NEW STOCK) HOPE YOUR HAPPY THAT YOU RUINED MY GAMING EXPERIENCE FOR RESI 5...ON YEAH RESI 4 HAD NO BUGS YOU PRICKS...OH YEAH WHEN YOU SHOOT YOU SHOULD LIKE BE ABLE TO MOVE! Same problem here. Just completed the story modus and most of the mercenary missions and then I couldn't load my save game anymore. Sucks really hard.
Hope you can come up with a fix for that soon. Don't have the motivation to start all over again with thinking that the exact same thing will happen again. -_- |

This happened to me as well. I played the game through three times, first on normal, then veteran, then once on amature to get the achievement to complete it in under 5 hours. I played the majority of those online. I unhooked my xbox and took it to a friend's house to play it and it "Failed to load saved data." I called xbox support and I tried deleting and reinstalling the updates (performing maintanance) and deleting and recovering my gamertag. It still fails. The peculiar thing is I have another profile on my hard drive that my girlfriend uses and her saved file loads fine. I did notice that her saved file is 76kb and mine is 40kb. I spent a lot of time and effort on this saved game and I don't want to have to start over. When is something going to be done, if anything? |

i was checkin my saved files out today & same problem Alfred is seeing, my original save file, with veteran almost completed, is only 40kb. i started a new game & it takes up 76kb... strange. like it's just corrupted.
i'm just about to delete my original save file (the 40kb), because i can't even start & save a new game on my gamertag - just keep receiving the error message.
any chance of someone from capcom making a statement? ...or an apology? =( |

I just want to verify that everyone who has had their game save corrupted did not turn off their console prematurely when they last saved their game? Did anyone notice anything strange the last time they played the game. This information will help the dev team figure out how this was caused and find away to resolve it. I had just finished the game on Amateur, purchased all the weapons, and upgraded them all and then shut the console off. When I went to play it again is when I received the error message. There was no premature shut off done. |

I had the same issue as everyone else. Here is my info about my game before the corruption at least 90% accurate. Yes I did wait until I was at the main menu before shutting off my console. I had played the game about 29 hours. 24 hours on Normal. I got most of the achievements here, I had all weapons unlocked and upgraded. 4 hours 41 minutes on Veteran. Had infinite Lightning Hawk Ammo and got the Infinite Rocket Launcher. It was after finishing on Veteran, I went into my weapons menu, moved some stuff around, (and I had one of everything in the inventory box except what was equipped and handgun and rifle ammo. What was equipped was Sheva's Bow, both types of body armor on both characters, 4 First Aid Sprays on Sheva and two G+G Sprays. Chris had the S75, L. Hawk, Gatling Gun, Hydra and Shotgun ammo.) let it save then shut it off. The next day I turned it on to get all S in Amateur and pick up the last 5 treasures I needed and I got the "Failed to Load Save Data." I had everything bought in the Extras except the Rare Wesker and the infinite ammo. (Excluding L. Hawk and R. Launcher) In Mercenaries I had a 'B' with both Sheva and Chris on the Shanty Town level. Needless to say, I am quite disheartened, and would like to play the game again, but I am afraid of this happening again, and I am upset at losing all that hard work. |

I just encounterd the "Failed to load saved data" error, as well. I had the titles installed on my hard drive, which is also where my save file was located. I had already finished the game on Normal and was just going over the first level again on the different difficulty settings. I had just unlocked the infinite ammo for the Magnum and was wearing the Safari outfit for chris. I continued to the second level, let it save, backed out to the main menu, and from there went to the dashboard. When I booted up the game an hour later, the game could not load my save. =( |
