Improved IE support rolled out

Tuesday, September 25, 2012
By Capcom Admin

Hello Unity,

We have rolled out an updated Capcom Bar that has a lot better support for several versions of Internet Explorer. Those of you who experienced difficulty with Getting to your inbox, logging out, etc. should have a much better time of it now.

We will continue to include more revisions to some of the core codebase to improve the overall IE experience.

Thanks for your patience with this!

Unity Wiki pages are "unskinned"

Hello there Unity,

We are still working on correcting your wiki pages. The current templates for wiki pages are being migrated to the updated system, this has run into a few roadblocks.

This is why they look like this:

We're doing what we can. The Wiki data is all safe, but I would recommend that if you own/manage some of these pages on Unity that you hold off on making any edits or changes until the templates are all updated.

Thanks again for your patience.

IE Profile page / user stats

Ok, so we are identifying a few odds and ends related to IE support that fixes are not coming fast enough for. Figured I would add it here so those of you who might be affected will know about it.

I hilighted the area in the profile that is suspect.

This seems to be due to IE's lack of support for DOMNodeInsterted... and other technical jargon. We'll figure it out, just might take a few days.

Internet Explorer support is in progress

Some of you know the problems faced with supporting all browsers in web development. A project the size of Capcom-Unity has posed a few issues with maintaining a certain level of compatability. To this end we offer an apology to the IE users out there, we have aimed for "functional" and "good looking", but there are bugs here and there that we are still working on.

Specific versions of IE (v7, we are looking at you) will act differently depending on whether Quirksmode is enabled, or compatability view. There are a lot of special cases to wrestle with. We will continue to aim for an "equal experience", so if Internet Explorer is your browser of choice... be patient, we're on it.
