    Abel will Dis-Abel you!

    Wednesday, April 22, 2009, 01:03 PM [General]

First, some music to get you pumped! Listen while reading.

An Abel cosplay is in the works for Jacon, and possibly Comic-con. So far I have the shin guards, gloves, and other parts of his attire are on the way. His hair is the only problem, because I really don't want to dye it, but if I can't find the proper wig on time then I will most likely end up changing the color of my hair. I hope it doesn't come to that though. This blog will be updated with pics of the materials and its progress. So check back often :D

    Update: 5-16-09

The Abel costume will appear in Jacon, Otakon, and Comic-con. Here is a vid of me doing the Ultra, but just for fun. It will come off as practice for a small skit I have in mind.

Street Fighter- Eternal Challenge Profile: Makoto

    Wednesday, April 15, 2009, 09:38 PM [General]

She knows the essence of Karate.

    Total victory with one hit.

    Photobucket

A hot-headed rough and tumble karate girl, Makoto was born into the prestigious Rindoukan (Bellflower) Karate dojo. She has a very tomboy type personality and speaks with an uncommon Tosa dialect. Although she's still young and a bit short, her black belt isn't just for show; her karate is very impressive. Her trademarks are a white uniform and yellow headband.

    Photobucket

Makoto's fighting style is Rindoukan karate. With calmly performed special moves, rapid movements and punches or kicks that have her full body weight behind them, she has a lot more power than expected from her small body.

She displays the "total victory with one hit" essence of karate. With her Tanden Renki, she demonstrates emotional strength in controlling her chi.

    Story

The prestigious Rindoukan (Bellflower) karate dojo was reduced to a shadow of its former self when Makoto's father, the instructor, passed away. With her brother an untrained office worker and the only other master martial artist in the family her elder grandfather, Makoto threw herself into the street fighting world to spread the name of Rindoukan around the world and to bring business back to their desserted dojo.

    Makoto!

Many people know this and many people don't. But Makoto from SFIII 3rd Strike is my favorite female character with Crimson Viper trailing right behind her. Makoto is first however. Below is a very small tribute that was made by another fan--very simple and straight forward. Every SFIII fan wants to see their favorite character from that series return. I hope we do see many of them come back, and would encourage and support anyone one--Oro, Dudley, Hugo, Necro, Ibuki, Yun & Yang, Q, doesn't matter who, but I'll be happy for them. Though the one character I would love to see return is Makoto of course.

So any SFIII character for the next SF game!!! Makoto however, I want to see you return the most!!!

    Megacon 2009

    Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 12:54 PM [General]

Megacon 2009!!! After attending this con that takes place in Orlando, Florida, I have to say that this is the only year since I've been attending that hardly anyone was there. The crowd iwas small--so small in fact that the advanced ticket booth was actually longer that the normal one (usually the normal is endless).

My friend pointed out that its the economy, which means people travel less and the costumes there were hardly present--though the ones that did cosplay ended up looking great as usual.

For me it was good times. Went up with one friend, met another at the con and then two more friends of mine from Tampa, true homies!!! Shot out to the Blue Bomber, who I wish would post on here more.

The dealers room was packed as always, but I didn't really end up with anything this time around so I saved money--if I did buy something (another than a Bday gift for my friend), I don't remember.

There were more than a few Ryu's there, maybe two Sakura's, one Chun-li, and the surprise there was a ROSE!!!

My friend has most of the pics so I'm waiting for him to send me them--so I can show the people a few of the things that happened there. Also saw the Chun-Li movie, but fell asleep because I was tired as hell. Did end up seeing the rest eventually and it was exactly what I expected: A terrible movie but fun to watch to make fun of with friends.

I do have to say this: the Year of the Fighting Game panel was the biggest piece of chite I have ever attended to. Two guys spoke to the crowd about fighting games while one was cool, being real and honest on his take with the current going-ons with fighting games, while the other was annoying as fook! Serious SNK fan who always had to slip in a comment on how Capcom was second when it comes to KOF. Most of the people in the room were KOF cosplayers and fans.

While I may not be a big KOF fan, I'll support as best as I can while not showing any malice towards the company or the games. The SNK fans Ive always had a problem with, yet these fans were ok, but damn it was all that one guy they let up there just spew out a bunch of nonsense.

Walked out of that room because it starting getting too stupid.

Otherwise, it was fun, and I'll be going back next year. Next up, most likely Jacon, and then the big one: San Diego Comic-con!!!!
