Well here is how it happened.
One day I was messing with my computer's innards. Checking connections, parts, and what not. Decided to clean it out a bit with some compressed air. As I finished up I noticed my psp and said to myself, "hey it could use a cleaning..."
So after spraying around and what not I put it down. Later on I decided to play some MHFU and when I tried to load a UMD, it would not... The motor spins, laser lights up and moves up and down, but doesn't move left to right. Well after searching around some sites I believe that the motor for the laser may be either stuck or dead. Hopefully it's just something that got stuck in the motor when I blew the air into it and I just have to remove it or relube the rails.
Problem now becomes that all of the mini screwdrivers in my house are a cheap POS. When I tried to unscrew they would just break apart in my hand. So then the next dilema is should I buy my own GOOD screwdriver kit($30) or maybe splurg on a new psp($170)? Because if the motor IS broken, then that could cost $70-$90, effort, and even MORE time.
Decisions, Decisions...
