So me and my nerdy friends were talking, and we thought it would be interesting to find out the number of character combinations you can have in Marvel vs Capcom 2. So here are the numbers we can up with.

You have a total of 27,720 characters combinations not counting in which assit type you choose and with no repeating characters (Character can only be picked once).

You have a total of 166,320 characters combinations not counting in which assit type you choose and with no repeating characters (Character can only be picked once) but including character teams ordered differently.

You have a total of 30,856 characters combinations not counting in which assist type you choose and including repeating characters.

You have a total of 175,616 characters combinations not counting in which assist type you choose and including repeating characters but including character teams ordered differently.

You have a total of 748,440 characters combinations counting in which assist type you choose but not counting in repeating characters (Character can only be picked once).

You have a total of 4,490,460 characters combinations counting in which assist type you choose but not counting in repeating characters (Character can only be picked once) but including character teams ordered differently.

You have a total of 833,112 characters combinations counting in which assist type you choose and including repeating characters.

You have a total of 4,741,632 characters combinations counting in which assist type you choose and including repeating characters but including character teams ordered differently.

You have a total of 560,162,433,600 online match combinations counting in which assist type you choose but not counting in repeating characters (Character can only be picked once).

You have a total of 694,075,604,544 local multiplayer match combinations counting in which assist type you choose and counting in repeating characters.

Thats a crazy number of combinations you can choose from. Also note that these are the number of combinations one player can choose from.

Update: Ok, you have a total of 560,162,433,600 different match up possibilities when playing online. This equation includes the total number of character combinations you can choose from (Not including repeating characters) and which assist type you choose for each one and the total number of combinations your opponent can choose from (Not including repeating characters) and which assist type they choose for each one.

Update 2: You also have a total of 694,075,604,544 local multiplayer match combinations. This equation includes the total number of character combinations you can choose from and which assist type you choose for each one and the total number of combinations your opponent can choose from and which assist type they choose for each one.
