    Uncharted 2 100% Complete!

    Thursday, November 12, 2009, 07:33 PM [General]

Well I haven't been posting much due to all the homework and finals coming up for me in college, but despite that, I thought I should post a little update on my progress in Uncharted 2. First off, I really enjoyed Uncharted 2 and I've played it for hours on both single and multiple player. I played it enough to finally get the Platinum Trophy after beating the game on crushing which if I might add, isn't easy. Nothing like been killed with a shotgun from a guy all the way across the map. Anyway, I spent a lot of time playing the game, and getting the Platinum Trophy for it just feels so rewarding. Now I just need to get to level 60 in multiplayer which currently I am a level 19.

Now I can get ready for the "God of War Collection" which comes out next week, so I can focus on getting the trophies for that game as well. ;p

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 100% Complete

    Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 04:49 AM [General]

    With Brutal Legends and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves coming out today, I really wanted to finish up the rest of the achievements I need for the Platinum Trophy on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for the PS3. The achievements I had left to complete were;

    Powers of Two: Gold
Perform all Fusions by combining every available pairing of 24 heroes

    Above and Beyond: Silver
    Collect 200 Team Boosts

Since I already had  197 out of 200 Team Boosts, I decided to focus on the "Powers of Two" achievement. The easiest way to complete this achievement is to go to the Simulator and run the "Basic Training" sim (The first sim). After you complete the training mode, you will be free to mess around with your characters and will have unlimited fusion power. They even allow you to summon enemies to train on. Since you are allowed a team of four different characters, I had one character say in and perform fusion combos while I traded out the other three with characters that had not been used yet. I did this until the main character I was playing had performed 23 out of 23 fusion combos. Then all I had to do was rense and repeat with the other 22 characters. I will warning anyone going for this achievement that it is VERY time consuming and boring. I started working on thier achievement Saturday night and fell asleep after only and hour and a half of work on it. The same thing happaned when I went to work on it Sunday night. But I finally managed to stay awake long enough to rotated through all the characters I had left that needed the 23 out of 23 fusion combos.

Upon getting the achievement "Powers of Two" I proceeded to collect the last three team boosts that I need which only took me about 10 minutes. And ta-da I got the Platinum Trophy for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Now when I get Brutal Legends and Uncharted 2, I can play them knowing I finished the last game completely :P

    Batman Arkham Asylum 100% Complete

    Sunday, September 27, 2009, 06:33 PM [General]

Well after taking a break from Batman Arkham Asylum, I went back to try and get the rest of the achivements for the Platinum Trophy. All I was missing for the Platinum Trophy was

    Biggest Bang: Silver
Deliver an explosive knock out blow to the Joker (Hard difficulty)

    Freeflow Gold: Silver
Achieve 24 medals on combat challenges

    Perfect Knight: Gold
    100% Complete

Since all I needed was Freeflow Gold to get Perfect Knight, I saved beating the game on Hard Mode for last. Well I got both Freeflow Gold and Perfect Knight last night, so I went ahead and started the game again on hard mode to finish up the achievements. Well I just beat it and got the Platinum Trophy for Batman Arkham Asylum and it feels so good having completed everything. The best part about this game is the DLC that is being released for it. So far I believe two DLC map packs have been added to the game. I haven't tried them out yet, but from what I've heard they're pretty fun.

    Just chillin!

    Thursday, September 17, 2009, 06:25 PM [General]

So currently I'm just hanging out in my computer class (How to install Windows XP) just typing away on my laptop. I recently got bored, so I installed Windows 7 Pro on my laptop and its work 100x better then it was when I had Vista on it. Anyway, I have recently been playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for the PS3 with my brothers, a few friends and myself, and we're really having a ball. I just now got my PSN code for Juggernaut which if I may add. is a ton of fun. While my friends and I were playing MAU2, someone brought up the game "Darksiders". I had no idea what the game was, so my friends showed it too me and now I'm excited for its 2010 release.

    Using Windows 7 Professional!

    Saturday, August 29, 2009, 09:31 AM [General]

So I finally took the time and installed Windows 7 Professional on my Desktop PC. After getting most of my software back in and after playing around with the new OS (Operating System), I must say I am impressed with how everything works. As I said before, this is the FULL CLIENT release that will be in stores on October 22nd. To sum up how this is different, think of the visual style like Windows Vista, but better and more stable. Actually, its about, if not more, stable as the current Windows XP.

Also, there are a number of new features I really like in this version of windows. First off, remember how after installing so many new programs that your little expanded bar by your clock would just be overwhelmed (I believe its called the Taskbar). Ok, so personally, I never had a problem with that but I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Well all those little "Start Up" programs and "Minimized In the Taskbar" programs now hide in a small little tab which you can open and close at will.

Also one thing I really found annoying was how if I had several programs open (Like word documents or web pages) that the taskbar would be overflowed and it became hard to find the right window. Well in Windows 7 they solved that problem by having the program only appear once in the taskbar and when you highlight over the program, a little window pops up which shows all the other instances of that program. For example, I am surfing the web using Firefox and I have a three different web pages open on seperate windows. I can highlight over the Firefox icon on my task bar and it will show me a preview of all the seperate windows I have open in Firefox. And I can even mouse over one of the windows and it will display it on my screen as if I had it open. I can then move my mouse over to one of the other windows and it will fade out to the current window I have my mouse over.

You can also pin and unpin programs to your taskbar and start menu. That way only the programs you use / want will be on your taskbar constantly. Also, I couldn't help myself, so I got a new desktop background for the new OS I'm using. So I went with the newly released Official Rockman EXE Operate Shooting Star Wallpaper.
