Sony just announced Resident Evil: Portable for the PSP during their E3 Conference. I don't see it listed any list of Capcom's E3 lineup, so I am assuming that Resident Evil: Portable is the second mystery game.
[ Update ] This title was infact Capcom's second mystery game. I was hoping for Mega Man Legends 3, but I guess this is nice as well.
Man, I am so pumped about Resident Evil coming out for the PSN this thursday that I had to reflect back at my first experience with Resident Evil. Now even though I had a PSX back in the day, I had never heard of the Resident Evil series (Odd I know). Mostly I was interested in the Megaman games and Armored Core games. It wasn't until my older brother purchased the Resident Evil remake on the gamecube that I found out about the series.
- Resident Evil: Gamecube Remake -
I remember when we first got it, it was around midnight on a friday, so we stayed up all night and agreed tha t we would only play it at night since it was suppose to be a "Horror" game. Man, I have never been so jumpy in a video game in my whole life, well except for in Medal of Honor: Underground when a suit of armor jumped out at me when I didn't expect it. But that was only one time in Medal of Honor: Underground, Resident Evil always had me on edge waiting for the next zombie or dog to jump out from around the corner and ambush me. Overall I had an awesome experience with the gamecube remake of Resident Evil. In fact, I played it over again to get the unlimited ammo grandade launcher :P So overall I am getting excited about getting to play the original PSX version of the game, and the directors cut to add to that. Hopefully we see more great Capcom classics like this hit the PSN soon. Well that and Marvel vs Capcom 2, must have Marvel vs Capcom 2 :P
The sixth and final installment in Gametrailers ongoing Resident Evil Retrospective is finally here. Granted it was released on March 12th, but I just not go around to posting about it since I have been enjoying RE5.
The sixth installement will give you an overview of the history of the Resident Evil and its horrific and mysterious past.
So I picked up my copy of Resident Evil 5 Collectors Edition for the midnight release along with my PS3. My brother got his TV so now we have a sweat setup in our room.
And my TV Setup
So Friday the 13th was really exciting. Getting my PS3, RE5 CE, GTAIV. And on top of that I get an e-mail from Capcom telling me I won the Chun Li Wireless PS3 SFIV Fight Pad raffle. I was really hoping I would win that controller and even planned on buying the last one they had up at Gamestop. Unfortuneately, when I went to buy the controller, Gamestop had sold the last one. So its really nice that I won it.
So I was at Gamestop today paying off the rest of my Resident Evil 5 Collectors Edition for the PS3 by selling off a few of my Wii games. Gamestop was having a deal where you can sell off two select game titles for any system and you $40 off your Resident Evil 5 game. So I decided to sell of my Wii Music, Mario Party 8 as my two select games along with Rayman Raving Ribbids 1 & 2, Bleach: Shattered Blade, Wario Land: Shake It, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Diddy Kong Racing DS. I only really expected to get around $30 / $35 for the other six games I was selling which would put me a few dollars short of paying off the RE5 Collectors Edition since I originally put $10 down on it. Well much to my surprise I got $130.74 from all the games I sold plus the $40 off RE5. Apparently Gamestop was also having a deal to where if you sell 2 games you get 10% extra credit, 4 games 20% extra credit, and 6 games 60% extra credit. In the end I was able to not only pay off my RE5 Collectors Edition, but I had enoguh money left over to get the only Resident Evil 5 Console Messenger Bag they had there for 49.99.
I have to reseal the plastic bag the Resident Evil 5 Console Messenger Bag came in because the tape was a little loose and it was coming off. So while I had it out of its plastic protection, I decided to take a clear picture of it. The Resident Evil 5 Console Messenger Bag now will hang out with my other mint condition collectors items such as the Mario Galaxy Coin, the Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core UMD Case, and the Street Fighter IV Collectors Edition Box and Pre-order Headband.
