I would like to appoligize for not getting into touch with everyone last Wednesday like I said, and would like to further appoligize for further sporatic updates in the near future. Unfortunately my internet access has become even less available than it already was, but I will still do my best to get online. Please bear with me.
In my last entry I talked about how I would draw a slightly older Sakura that stayed as close as possible to her original design, but those plans have gone the way of the dodo for now so I'll sust write quick description ( maybe someone could improve upon it and put it online).
-A collared wite blouse with a yellow ribon tied around her neck (or yellow neck-tie) and a blue scarf tied around her shoulders. Still wearing a pleated skirt and a headband. The rest sholg be obvious except for the the red undershirt Sakura wears ( please include it)-
That's all for now, I'll check in when I can. Later
So I have been encouraged by DavidKing to take a shot at putting some art on Unity so I'd like to thank him for that. Now I just have to drw something.
I think I'll appease Akiba and my own desires to see a grown up Sakura by drawing a version of her myself. I warn everyone now though, I will make a design that is very similar to her high school design. This is not because I have an obsession with japanese school uniforms, but instead because I feel a character design should still be similar enough to be instantly recoginizable on sight. Good examples of these are Ryu ( in SFA with a white headband), Ken ( in SFA with much longer hair), and Akuma ( some games he has sandles, others he does not). Wish me luck on the drawing, and you're welcome to do variations on it when I get it posted.
Just one more thing that I should probably put on the BASH SAKURA forum thread. I know she can be classified as another shotoclone, but I would like to see how her take on the style evolves to match her personality and combat prowess. Further more, like Ryu she is seeking improvement through mastery of the fireball and I would love to see what variations she can bring to classic Hadouken like Ryu before her. Some examples of course are Ryu's Genki ( did I use the right name?) Hadouken, and Akuma's jumping variaties and of course his Meassatsu Hadouken. If anyone wants to send me some more variations ( legitimate or made up) please do, and you are all welcome to use myy Sakura comments in any forum. Thank you, I'll be back Wednesday. Later
I thought I'd take today to let everyone know that my internet access is extremely limited, so I rarely get a chance to get online. I thought I'd let everyone know before I start seeming like an out of touch wacko, so please to anyone who pays me any attention bear with me.
With that out of the way I received an invintation to join an SF art group. Much as I'd like to join I dont have any to get art online quickly ( I have a number of methods I could try, but they are not likely reliable). I also don't consider myself that good an artist, and all my work is always in color pencil. Some advice on whether or not I should join would be appreciated.
I am fortunate enough to have made my first friend on Unity this morning and I am glad as anything for it. Additionally they also are hoping Sakura makes it into Street Fighter IV. Huzzah!
The number one thing I've noticed though while searching through Unity is that everyone who wants to see Sakura in SF IV wants to see her grown up. I know I want to see her character evolve as well, but I'm not really for certain what everyone else means by grown up since I've seen everything from college boound to full grown adult. I personally don't see her being that much older from the Alpha series. This is likely because I've always seen the Alpha series as taking place only a short time ( maybe two or so years) before SF II, and because I saw a unique SF IV trailer at Comic-con that made it appear that SF IV takes place only a few months after SF II. Maybe some can clarify this for me, but for now I,m positive that Sakura would probably be just starting college.
All the same I hope Sakura makes it and continues to evolve her unique take on fighting through mastery of the fireball. Later.
I thought I'd just introduce myself and give a quick explanation to why I joined Capcom-Unity, but first I would like to once again thank producer Yoshinoro Ono for taking the time at Comic-Con to hear my request put Sakura into the home version of Street Fighter IV, and additionally for being willing to take the matter to everyone else at Capcom working hard on the Home version.
That aside I would like to say that my primary exposure to Capcom over the years has been through Street Fighter (starting with the game from the live action movie and carrying on through the alpha series), and that I am highly looking foward to the fourth game in the series. I was fortunate enough to have played Street Fighter IV at Comic -Con ( and got butt thourghly handed to me. I'm a console gamer with minimum arcade experience and could use some advice for an arcade stick to use for practice at home), and on the advice of associate producer David Crislip joined Unity as a way to keep up with all the other fans of the series and get a chance to share my hopes for who I would like to see in the Home Version of Street Fighter IV ( I hope I'm not the only who would like to see Sakura). I hope everyone here on Capcom-Unity will show me the ropes and Raise my Street Fighter Experience to new heights. I'll be later so drop me a line,
