UPDATE: Contest entry period is OVER! Look for the winner reveals soon! And thanks everyone for participating! =)

UPDATE: We’ve updated the contest rules to accept entries from Central America.

Hunters, get your artisan tools ready, for we have a special request for you: design a weapon for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate !

All right, the last time something like this happened was for Monster Hunter Tri back in 2009  and we still enjoy the results to this date, so you can see the impact of this kind of contest here… but let’s clarify a few things before you start working on your entry:

What is this contest?
We are asking you to design and name a weapon that could be featured in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate !

You entry must be based on one of the 14 weapon classes available in game: Sword & Shield, Dual Blades, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, Bow, Insect Glaive and Charge Blade ; so make sure you label your entry accordingly. We’re only taking one entry per person, so think carefully about your choice.

To participate, just send your weapon name and design (illustration) as an email to contest@capcom.com with the subject line MH4U WEAPON DESIGN . Feel free to send in a little description to help contextualize your design, but please keep it under 100 words. Note: weapon description is NOT a requirement.

We will be selecting TWO winners: one from the Americas (North, Central and South) and one from Europe (including New Zealand and Australia) so please write down your country on the body of the email. You have until 9:00am of May 5th (Pacific Time) to submit you design.

Quick recap: in your entry make sure you send in ONE weapon design, ONE weapon name (for your design), YOUR name and the country you currently live .

WAIT A MINUTE ! This is a pretty big contest, so we have a strict set of TERMS & CONDITIONS . So take the time to read all the RULES or you risk being disqualified… and you don’t want that.

Best of luck to everyone!
