Vergil
é a grande estrela de Devil May Cry 5
Special Edition.
Nero
/ V / Dante
#DMC5SE também inclui todo o conteúdo do Devil
May Cry 5 original.
Keep it Stylish! >:D
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is finally here, just in time to showcase the true power of Next-Gen gaming! Whether you’re a SSSeasoned DMC player or jumping into it for the first time with DMC5SE, here’s a handy SPOILER-FREE recap guide of everything you get to play right from the start:
Playable Vergil
If you’ve been following our news and updates since the Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition announcement,
you should know Vergil is a pretty big deal for this version of the game.
You’ll be able to start playing as him right away!
SIDE NOTE: a quick word of warning to newcomers. If you’re looking to
experience the full story of DMC5SE, I recommend starting with the Nero / V / Dante
campaign. The Vergil campaign assumes you have already played the original
story, and offers fewer story moments. And if you want to get a refresher on
the story of previous games, look for the brief overview “History of DMC” on
the main menu.
Vergil comes fully equipped with his signature weapons and
various forms of power. Of course, you’ll be able to power-up those weapons and
abilities even more with Red Orbs, but here’s a quick breakdown of his demonic
arsenal:
Yamato
– his classic katana-style sword, given to him by his father, Sparda. Its
attacks are swift and capable of slicing demons with deadly precision.
Beowulf
– a set of gauntlets and boots with immense destructive power. Take the time to
charge its attacks and watch demons break apart.
Mirage
Edge – a conjured sword resembling the Force Edge, capable of devastating
combos and crowd control.
Mirage
Blades – summoned swords that Vergil uses as long-range projectiles. These
can also be summoned in various formations at the cost of Devil Trigger gauge.
Doppelganger
– Vergil’s Devil Trigger manifested in a ghostly twin that shadows his moves.
You can even tinker with some of Doppelganger’s behaviors by issuing commands
with the d-pad (default controls).
Sin Devil
Trigger – Vergil’s true power is unleashed, opening paths to brutal combos
and obliterating damage potential.
World of
V – this powerful new technique cleaves out Vergil’s human form, V, and his
Familiars to shred and vaporize as many demons as possible.
Nero / V / Dante
Moving on from Vergil for now… DMC5SE also includes the entire contents of the 2019 release Devil May Cry 5. That means Nero, V and
Dante are fully playable in their own Missions, the Void and Bloody Palace
(after clearing the story once)!
WARNING: before braving Legendary Dark Knight mode (info below), I
definitely recommend playing through the main Nero / V / Dante story once to
unlock all their story-related abilities. There’s some serious character growth
tied to gameplay that you won’t want to miss!
Anyways, let’s take a hot second to recap their playstyles
and places in the story:
Nero
kicks off the story of DMC5 by losing
his Devil Bringer demon arm, but thanks to the mechanical genius of his friend
Nico, he quickly acquires new replacements known as Devil Breakers. These
powerful (but fragile) new arms join his trusty turbo-charged sword Red Queen and
Blue Rose hand cannon, and open his playstyle up to even more SSStylish combos
than ever.
V
made his debut as the mysterious third protagonist in DMC5, bringing with him a completely new playstyle unlike anything
else in the Devil May Cry series.
Instead of fighting demons head on, V commands three Familiars: Griffon, Shadow
and Nightmare. But that doesn’t mean V is always safe! His primary Familiars (Griffon
and Shadow) have their own health gauges and can temporarily fall in battle.
And one more thing: V has to be the one to land the finishing blow on his
targets. Definitely a unique way to stylishly slay demons!
Dante
returns with plenty of new tricks! Aside from his four signature styles
(Trickster, Gunslinger, Swordmaster and Royal Guard) and his reliable Rebellion
sword and Ebony & Ivory pistols, he gets access to a wild arsenal of
weapons. Highlights include the Faust Hat (yes, a hat as a weapon) and the
Caveliere motorcycle (yes, a motorcycle as a weapon). I’m not joking.
Special Edition
Content
As part of the Special Edition package, you’ll be getting a
handful of other nifty features and content. I’ve already got two lists in this
blog, so why stop now?
Turbo Mode – dial up the speed of gameplay by 20%! And we mean all gameplay: running speed, enemy movement, enemy attacks, jumps, jump cancels, Judgement Cut windows, Red Queen Exceed, Max Act windows, everything! Don’t worry though… the awesome music plays at regular speed.
Legendary Dark Knight Mode – this one is categorized as a difficulty option (similar to Human, Devil Hunter, etc.) but it’s a little more than that. Did I say “a little?” I meant “A LOT.” As in… the game will throw A LOT more enemies at you at once! It actually feels like a completely different way to play DMC5SE. Friendly reminder to power-up in the standard story mode before trying this out… unless you’re really up for the challenge.
Deluxe EditionSSStuff – along with the original DMC5 release in 2019, we launched a Deluxe Edition featuring an assortment of cool items. Highlights include four unique Devil Breakers for Nero, the variant “Cavaliere R” weapon for Dante, battle music tracks from previous games and one of the best features in gaming history: pre-viz live action cutscenes!
Next-Gen Features
Ready for one more list? Of course you are. Next-Gen
features; let’s go:
Reduced
Load Times – things load so fast we had to add an optional feature that
asks you to confirm mission start, so you’re not caught off guard. Also, so you
can read the loading screen tips 🙂
Increased
Frame Rates – up to 120fps, baby!
Ray
Tracing – SSShiny new tech that allows us to trace rays of light and track
as they bounce off surfaces, generating shadows and reflections in real time! NOTE: this feature is not available for DMC5SE
on Xbox Series S.
3D Audio
– this one is a bit subtler, but if you have headphones on, you can actually
pinpoint demons’ positions as they approach you based on audio cues alone!
Alright… I think that’s a pretty thorough roundup of all the
key info on Devil May Cry 5 Special
Edition; I just left some info out here and there to preserve any potential
spoilers.
Before I go… here’s another list! You thought I was done?
Foolishness!
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition (Digital)
– Available NOW on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition (Physical)
– Coming December 1st to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Vergil
DLC for Devil May Cry 5 – Coming December 15th to PC,
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Attention devil hunters, today we just launched digital pre-orders for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, so we also wanted to share some key dates and important info ahead of launch, including the release date for Vergil DLC for Devil May Cry 5 (Dec. 15th, 2020) and an update on ray tracing for Xbox Series S.
DMC5SE Pre-Order Bonus
Starting right now, you can pre-order Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S digital stores. Anyone who purchases the game by November 18th, 2020 will get a free pack of 100,000 Red Orbs. These are immensely useful early on in the game as they’ll help unlock moves, buy Devil Breakers, buy other Orbs and even bring you back from defeat in a pinch. Or… you can be a total badass and just hold onto them, saving up for some of those pricey Taunts. Up to you.
DMC5 Vergil DLC
Release Date
We mentioned this early on alongside our game announcement,
but never gave you a firm date or price. Well, it’s time to change that.
Our dev team has been hard at work in getting DMC5SE ready to launch the same day as
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so Vergil will be arriving on PlayStation 4,
Xbox One and PC just a few weeks after that, on December 15th, 2020 and will cost just US$4.99 / €4.99 / £3.99.
To keep you motivated, we’ll leave you with a quick reminder that Vergil will be fully playable on Story Missions, The Void, and Bloody Palace.
An Update on Ray tracing
for Xbox Series X|S
We’re excited to bring Devil
May Cry 5 Special Edition to Xbox Series X|S with high frame rates up to
120 fps, enhanced 3D audio, reduced loading times, the Legendary Dark Knight
difficulty, Turbo Mode and playable Vergil on both consoles.
Fans playing Devil May
Cry 5 Special Edition on Xbox Series X will also experience the game in 4k
resolution and with Direct X Ray Tracing. Both consoles deliver amazing next
generation speed and performance, and while we are just now scratching the
surface of what they can do our teams are eager to continue exploring the full
capabilities of Xbox Series X|S in the future.
While ray tracing will be available as a downloadable title
update on Xbox Series X, Devil May Cry 5
Special Edition will not support ray tracing on Xbox Series S.
An additional title update for Resident Evil Resistance is available now, bringing new updates to the asymmetrical co-op survival horror game set in the Resident Evil universe! Since the game launched earlier this year, there’s been lots of free content added. You can now play as Jill Valentine, take direct control of the relentless pursuer Nemesis, explore multiple additional maps, and further customize both the Survivors as well as the Masterminds’ zombies and other creatures with costumes and gestures. Catch up on all the available content plus details on the latest update below!
Additional Friends
and Foes Jill Valentine was able to escape the remains of Raccoon City, but can she
escape a series of twisted experiments? Jill joined the ranks of the Survivors
shortly after the game launched earlier this year, bringing her training and
skills as part of Raccoon City’s Special Tactics and Rescue Service
(S.T.A.R.S.) with her. With access to an arsenal of powerful weapons and the
ability to quickly dodge enemy attacks, Jill joins the ranks of the Survivors
as they attempt to escape sadistic experiments run by the Masterminds.
The selection of Masterminds expanded as well, adding a
familiar face to the roster: Resident
Evil 3’s own Nicholai. A master of weaponry in his own right, Nicholai
brings powerful firearms to bear against the Survivors, matched only by his
ability to take control of the ultimate bioweapon: Nemesis. Marking the first
time Nemesis has been playable in a Resident Evil game, you’ll be able to crush
the Survivors with powerful blows and unleash a rocket launcher to ensure they
stay down for the count.
City Tour Take a tour of the many different maps that are available! The Downtown,
Abandoned Park, Casino, and Research Facility maps that were all available at
launch still offer plenty of tricks, traps, and surprises in the hands of the
right Mastermind, while three other maps have been added since to keep the
Survivors on their toes.
The Prison map drops Survivors into the creepy corridors of
an old penitentiary, providing a mix of cramped corridors and open prison
cells. It’s perfect for a clever Mastermind to drop a few zombies in behind
bars or around corners to keep the Survivors’ heart rates up… and their chances
of survival down.
Meanwhile, two maps received remixed versions, keeping some
familiar sights while changing the layout to raise the stakes for both Survivors
and Masterminds alike. Re-visit the streets and buildings of Raccoon City with
the Uptown map, and enjoy a spook-tacular time at the Bemusement Park. No
ticket required, but you may have a hard time getting out once you’ve arrived
at this perilous park.
Master of Customizing Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and Survivors have quite an array of skills to choose from alongside customization options that allow them to personalize their abilities even further, with even more options added via updates since the game’s launch. Plus, additional gear has been added, giving the Survivors extra perks to help them overcome each nightmarish trial. Not to be outdone, Masterminds have also received new cards to play, allowing them to place their own modified traps and creatures to thwart the Survivors’ escape attempts.
That’s not counting all the other ways you can mix things up
as you play, with a multitude of bonus costumes, weapon skins, environmental
sprays, and even gestures for Survivors and Masterminds alike. Survivors can
get physical with luchador costumes or take a walk on the wild side with animal
costumes, while Masterminds can add a little flair to their shambling army with
unique zombie skins. There are few things scarier than an undead clown leaping
out from the shadows.
The Last Escape, For
Now With today’s update being the last planned update for Resident Evil Resistance for now, there’s lots of additional items
to look forward to this time around.
Today’s update includes two weapon types for Survivors and
new skill cards, as well as a new creature you may recognize from Resident Evil 3, the NE-α. It also
includes specific cards based on Mastermind personality types that can only be
used in certain areas. Also included are 35 Survivor skin color variations, 10
creature variations, and much more. Each character’s rank has also been upped
from 20 to 25, and the Mastermind’s rank cap has been adjusted to unlock all
skill cards at 20. Please check the official website for
details.
That wraps up content updates for Resident Evil Resistance for now, but the development team will
continue to keep an eye out for any issues. A balance update is also in the
works, to be released in the next few days. We hope you continue to play and
enjoy duking it out as both Survivors and Masterminds! Resident Evil Resistance is included with Resident Evil 3, available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC!

Twitter,

Hunters of the Fifth Fleet, it’s time to pay a visit to a historical site, and confront a living legend…
Fatalis, the Legendary Black Dragon
Passed down from generation to
generation as just a legend, Fatalis is said to have wiped out an entire
kingdom overnight. Such power and potential makes for very scary stories, but
little evidence was ever made available. However, the Guild has now confirmed
the return of this mythical Elder Dragon; it’s heading straight to Castle
Schrade to finish what it had started.
Hunters, make sure you bring out your best gear and keep your wits about you venturing into this quest. Weapons from the castle’s last stand are still available—hopefully functional—and you’ll need all the help you can get to fend off the Legendary Black Dragon… and survive to tell the tales.
NOTE: Before you can take on the Special Assignment to hunt Fatalis, you must be MR 24 or higher, have completed at least the Safi’jiiva Recon Assignment, and have encountered Alatreon in its Special Assignment at least once.

Fall Seasonal Event – Fun Fright Fest
Our next seasonal event in Iceborne will be all about monsters. No,
not the ones you hunt in Quests; we’re talking creatures of darkness… demons,
succubi, and ghosts!
But don’t worry! These aren’t
real. At least not in Astera or Seliana anyway. So we’re decking out the
Seliana Gathering Hub with sinister new décor and tuning the music selection to
“spooky.” We invite you to partake in the activities and, if you’re brave
enough, try out our new seasonal food platter. Its nutritional value is a
mystery worth the dare.
And as per tradition, we’ll
feature a plethora of items to craft and collect: Armor Sets, Layered Armor,
Weapon Pendants, Palico Gear, a Poogie Outfit and more!
Fun Fright Fest will run from October 16 until November 5 UTC.

flagship monster of Iceborne,
Velkhana! Get ready to brave the harsh conditions of the Hoarfrost Reach once
more and face off against the extremely powerful Arch-Tempered Velkhana.
Those who manage to vanquish this
ruthless Elder Dragon will be awarded a special Weapon Pendant and materials to

Clutch Claw Boost
With the arrival of new threats,
Hunters must ready themselves as best as they can to stand a chance. And to
help nudge the odds in your favor, we’re adding a new armor skill, called
Clutch Claw Boost.
This handy new skill will allow
heavy weapons (Great Sword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Switch Axe, Charge
Blade, Heavy Bowgun) to also draw slinger ammo from monsters—similar to what
light weapons are capable of doing—while tenderizing a monster’s hide with
their Clutch Claw weapon attack.
Conversely, light weapons (Long Sword, Sword & Shield, Dual Blades, Gunlance, Insect Glaive, Light Bowgun, Bow) will also benefit from this skill by tenderizing monsters’ hides with a single Clutch Claw weapon attack, while also drawing slinger ammo.
Master Rank Layered Armor
Calling all Fashion Hunters! The feature you’ve been waiting for is finally here. As of this latest update, Master Rank armor sets will now be available to craft as Layered Armor! Some sets will be tied to upcoming Event Quest rewards, but most sets are now available for crafting, mixing and matching. Now’s your time to shine: go, and become the Master Fashion Hunters!
Elder Melder Decorations
Good news for Hunters looking for
some rare Decorations: the Elder Melder will now be able to craft some
especially elusive jewels:
Elementless Jewel 2
Shield Jewel 2
Sharp Jewel 2
Dragonseal Jewel 3
Mighty Bow Jewel 2
Mind’s Eye Jewel 2

You asked for them, so here they are: the lyrics to Vergil’s theme “Bury the Light” in Devil May Cry 5 by Casey Edwards and Victor Borba!
Immortal temptation Takes over my mind Condemned Falling weak on my knees Summon the strength Of Mayhem
I am the storm that is approaching Provoking Black clouds in isolation I am reclaimer of my name Born in flames I have been blessed My family crest is a demon of death
Forsakened I am awakened A phoenix’s ash in dark divine Descending misery Destiny chasing time
Inherit the nightmare Surrounded by fate Can’t run away Keep walking the line Between the light Led astray
Through vacant halls I won’t surrender The truth revealed in eyes of ember We fight through fire and ice forever Two souls once lost and now they remember
I am the storm that is approaching Provoking Black clouds in isolation I am reclaimer of my name Born in flames I have been blessed My family crest is a demon of death
Forsakened I am awakened A phoenix’s ash in dark divine Descending misery Destiny chasing time Disappear into the night Lost shadows left behind Obsession’s pulling me Fading I’ve come to take what’s mine
Lurking in the shadows under veil of night Constellations of blood pirouette Dancing through the graves of those who stand at my feet Dreams of the black throne I keep on repeat A derelict of dark summoned from the ashes The puppet master congregates all the masses Pulling strings twisting minds as blades hit You want this power then come try and take it
Beyond the tree Fire burns Secret love Bloodline yearns Dark minds embrace Crimson Joy Does your dim heart Heal or Destroy?
Bury the light deep within Cast aside there’s no coming home We’re burning chaos in the wind Drifting in the ocean all alone
By the way, “Bury the Light” is now streaming online on:
Welcome new challengers! Have you heard? Street Fighter V is one of the FREE PlayStation Plus games for the month of September! If you haven’t done so yet, download the game now and add it to your library! For those of you who are new to SFV, I’m here to provide some helpful tips and resources to getting started and into fighting shape.
Getting Started in
Street Fighter V
In the Street Fighter V base game, you’ll start with 16 unique characters at the start. After the intro tutorial, it’s time to find one (or more!) that fits your style. Let’s start by picking anyone that looks to fit your playstyle preferences; check out their attribute stats for a quick summary.
Each character comes with two V-Skills and two V-Triggers to choose from. V-Skills act as a unique ability that only that character can utilize. Using these V-Skills can help build your V-Gauge, which will allow characters to unleash their V-Triggers. Each V-Trigger acts like a comeback mechanic that gives power boosts, mobility, or special attacks that can be used as long as there is meter left.
Once you’ve chosen your fighter, hit the training room to learn the ins and outs of your character. I recommend checking out the Command List in training mode and seeing the variety of moves available.
