This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Resident Evil, and few are feeling the milestone as deeply as Capcom’s development team. Our series of developer interview videos continues this week with longtime Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata discussing key evolutions in the series over the decades.
Kawata-san has been involved in the creation of pivotal entries like RE 4, RE 5, RE Revelations, and fun spin-offs like RE: The Umbrella Chronicles. In this video Kawata-san draws on his experience to discuss how the implementation of co-op play changed the series, and the motivational challenge of creating RE Revelations initially for 3DS.
