Tokyo Game Show (TGS), the premiere video game trade show of Japan, begins on September 23rd, and Capcom will be there with info and updates on our upcoming games. Read on for where to watch live streams, and what to keep an eye out for at TGS. UPDATE: TGS 2020 Online has ended, but hit the jump for new information on Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Monster Hunter Rise, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Resident Evil Village, and RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness!

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition
YAHOO! Get ready for SFV at TGS with more details on the content coming with Season V! Want more info on Season V of SFV? Check out the SFV Summer Update including info on returning characters Dan, Rose, Oro, and newcomer from the Rival Schools games, Akira!

POST-TGS UPDATE:

During TGS, more info on Dan Hibiki was revealed by the SFV Development team! They discussed Dan and how he’s changed since his last appearance in SFIV and showed off some of his moves including his Gadoken fireball that can now be charged up, his new multi-punching move called “Danretsuken,” as well as one of his V-Skills which allows him to cancel his moves into a patented taunt! Speaking of taunts, they also showed off several of Dan’s new taunts, including his “Legendary Taunt.” Check out the video above to see some of Dan’s new moves in action!

Monster Hunter Rise
An all-new entry in the Monster Hunter action RPG series is headed to Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. Monster Hunter Rise will put you in the shoes of a resident of the colorful Kamura Village, a serene hub that attracts visitors with its unique culture and technology, and will task you with preparing your defenses to take on an impending cataclysmic event known as the “Rampage.” But don’t worry; you’ll have handy new gameplay tricks to help with this assignment: the Wirebug and a rideable Canyne companion, Palamute! POST-TGS UPDATE:
The very first uncut gameplay footage of Monster Hunter Rise is finally up! Watch our producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yasunori Ichinose go over a full quest in the new Shrine Ruins. Of course, we got to show some awesome Wirebug moves and adorable Palamute animations. Check out the full gameplay here.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
Monster Hunter Stories and RPG fans, rejoice! This is the sequel you’ve been waiting for, coming to Nintendo Switch in summer 2021. Once more, you’ll be able to play as a Rider, with the ability to form special bonds with monsters, raising and training them to battle alongside you. Wings of Ruin will take you on an unforgettable adventure centered around a mysterious phenomenon causing Rathalos to migrate unexpectedly. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
Feel the POWER of Next-Gen! The ultimate version of 2019’s Action Game of the Year, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is coming at you fast and with plenty of style! Everyone’s favorite power-hungry Son of Sparda, Vergil, will be playable and various new features will be included that are only possible thanks to the power of Next-Gen consoles: Turbo Mode, Legendary Dark Knight Mode and Ray Tracing. Aaaaand… it’s launching digitally day 1 with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / Series S!

Did you catch our Special Edition TGS 2020 showcase? Producer Matt Walker got together with legendary director Hideaki Itsuno and game designer Junya Kumabe to show off some of the exciting bits from DMC5SE, including a side-by-side speed comparison of Turbo Mode and 10 full seconds of Vergil gameplay footage. Resident Evil Village
A direct sequel to the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and the eighth mainline entry in the Resident Evil series. Step into the frosty shoes of protagonist Ethan Winters as he explores a snow-covered village. Set after the events of RE7 and his terrifying encounters with the Baker family, Ethan’s quiet life with his wife Mia is shattered, leaving him in search of answers amid snow-covered peaks. POST-TGS UPDATE:

Putting the development of Resident Evil Village into focus, Director Morimasa Sato and Producer Peter Fabiano talked at length about the themes and intent behind the upcoming survival horror game. It’s definitely worth watching for Resident Evil and survival horror fans alike, as well as those of you who want to know more about the decisions the team made when approaching the game’s visuals and themes.

That wasn’t all, though – in a surprise announcement from TGS 2020, RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness, a new CGI animated series coming to Netflix, was announced! Check out the teaser trailer above for more info on the upcoming horror-action series, as well as a closer look at the two protagonists of the show who need no introduction: Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy.
