Scott Pilgrim author Bryan Lee O'Malley is not just extremely talented, it seems he's also a Capcom fan. Not only is the new movie "Scott Pilgrim Vs the World" soaking in Street Fighter references, in the latest installment of the graphic novels, Scott is playing Monster Hunter!
I was lucky enough to catch an advance screening of the movie at Comic-Con, and I wanted to say for anyone that has lingering doubts (the trailers didn't totally sell me): this movie is extremely awesome.
I can't get into the various ways it's awesome without spoilers, but it KO'd "Inception" as my favorite new movie of the year pretty decisively. They're very different films, but "Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World" pretty much single-handedly vindicates games not just as some weird hobby, but as a part of our lives. See it, and pick up the latest book too!
